DMP16x16 Digital audio matrix/automatic mixer with DSP (Digital Signal Processing) processors, with 16 independent inputs and 16 outputs.
Designed for use in professional audio systems: conference rooms, multifunctional halls and arenas, places of worship and theatres.
Suitable for highly reverberant environments and in the presence of high ambient noise.
Control and configuration from a PC or display with encoder on the front panel, or alternatively from the optional DMPD3 remote display.

Matrix and Mixer
Allows any combination of input signals to be assigned independently to each of the 16 outputs. Inputs can be managed in groups (sub-mixing) so that group processing modules can be applied to homogeneous groups of inputs before distributing them to the outputs.

Automixer
The automixer is equipped with a powerful algorithm based on an adaptive threshold that can manage with extreme precision the opening and closing of the microphones, which occurs automatically, totally transparent to the user even in the presence of high background noise. The implemented intelligent management allows a gain in volume of up to 10 dB compared to a traditional mixer, therefore particularly suitable for very reverberant environments and in the presence of ambient noise.

Parametric equalisers and filters on inputs and outputs

Each input is equipped with a parametric equaliser and high/low pass filters. Each output has a parametric equaliser module and second-order high/low-pass filters. It is also possible to manage the equalisers in graphic mode by intervening directly on the frequency response curve for faster and more intuitive adjustment. Digital FIR filters to equalise the signal without introducing phase shifts.

Antilarsen, AFC acoustic feedback suppressor

A sophisticated digital filter is used for suppressing acoustic feedback between microphones and loudspeakers to avoid the so-called Larsen effect. The gain margin obtained with this filter depends on the environment in which it is used, typically it can vary between 5 and 9 dB in medium to large rooms. The filter leaves the vocal signal unaltered by not introducing any harmonic distortion or limitation of the frequency response. This particular type of filter intervenes before the Larsen effect can be perceived.

Delay lines

On each output there is a sound delay line that can be activated and set up to 2000 ms. This feature makes it possible to temporally ‘align’ speakers up to 686 metres away from the main or reference speakers.

Compressors and signal limiters

Compressors and signal limiters are available, which can be activated with independently configurable parameters for each input. It is possible to monitor the compression level in real time in order to fine-tune the parameters that determine its operation.

Connectivity and User Interface

TCP/IP for remote management and control of all system parameters. The supplied control software is available for PC-Windows. Connected to the network it is also possible to manage the mixer via wi-fi through PC or Tablet. User-configurable presets (scenarios) can be called up via the devices. The mixer can also be managed from the front panel via the display and encoder interface. It is possible to activate, with pass, the partial or total lock of the interface on the front panel to prevent accidental and unauthorised modification of the matrix/mixer parameters.
