Digital audio matrix/automatic mixer with DSP, 10 inputs, 8 output
The unit is a Digital Signal Processing-based audio matrix/auto mixer and processor, designed to be used in a variety of installations such as courtrooms, convention centres, churches and hotels. It has 10 inputs and 8 outputs fully matrixable, allowing multi-zone applications.
The automixing module allows increasing the gain before feedback up to 9dB with respect to conventional mixer. In order to further increase the stability margin of the system; on up to 4 outputs a dedicated acoustic feedback suppressor is available.
Each input is provided with 3-band equalizer, low- and high-pass filters and a compressor/limiter function modules. Each output has a 9-band equalizer, a 2-frequency parametric equalizer and a delay line stage with side chain capability. 8 input channels have 3-pin euroblock type connectors, accepting either microphone or line-level signals. Individual trimming allows accurate settings of the input sensitivity in order to accept any source level while maximizing the nominal resolution and signal to noise ratio of the 24bit 48/96 kHz A/D converter input stage.
The Microphone preamplifiers, thanks to their high grade circuit topology, offer studio-quality audio performance. Phantom powering 48 VDC is available on each microphone input. 2 auxiliary line level inputs with RCA connectors are included. 6 outputs deliver balanced line level signals through 3-pin euroblock type connectors. The remaining 2 outputs deliver unbalanced signals through RCA connectors and allow recording purposes.
The equipment offers a simple, direct access front panel user interface, consisting of a large rotary knob with integrated push button and a 3’’ graphic LCD display with backlight. All functions are accessible by means of easy operations on the front panel control. Real time metering allows a clear sight of all input and output signal levels, RMS pre-processing input signal and gating status cursors to monitor the automixer operations on any inputs. A user lock is implemented in order to avoid front panel parameter changes until a security code is not entered.
The internal memory allows the storing of up to 4 different configurations as presets, in order to reduce the operability time needed by the equipment and/or allows quick temporary changes to the actual configuration by means of a simple access to the control panel. A DB9 connector is provided for connection to a computer or control system by a proprietary serial bus protocol. A PC software is included; this software is intended to remotely control and modify the equipment settings.
